SSM Cancer Care at DePaul brings together an expert Oncology Multidisciplinary Team that includes specialists in medical and radiation oncology, pathology, general and interventional radiology, pulmonary medicine, palliative care medicine, thoracic surgery, gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, urology, gynecology, and gynecology oncology.
DePaul is recognized by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons for providing a comprehensive program designed to treat the entire person, including your physical, emotional and spiritual needs and those of their loved ones.
We offer a complete line of cancer services from diagnosis to biopsy, treatment, support and follow-up care. We specialize in the treatment of Lymphoma, bladder, prostate, colorectal, breast and lung cancers.
As a member of the nation's largest clinical trials organization, we have extensive resources available to us. We use these resources to offer our patients access to the very latest methods of treatment being offered across the country.
On-going education is another vital component of our program. Our cancer care team regularly hosts educational symposiums to bring in some of the nation’s leading experts to discuss the latest research, new clinical trials, and best practices.
"One of the things that has impressed me the most here at DePaul is that our physicians always do what is best for the patient. We have an excellent program. But if they feel someone else is offering a treatment that one of our patients could benefit from, they don't hesitate to refer that patient. They are truly committed to offering hope and saving lives," says Raquel Corona, oncology data services coordinator at DePaul.
