The SSM DePaul Health Center Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in 1996 to reach out to the community and develop active participation in the ongoing mission of SSM DePaul Health Center by providing opportunities to share personal resources in support of that ministry.

Since its inception, Friends of the SSM DePaul Health Center Foundation provided more than $7 million to support:

• Advanced surgical tools for trauma patients
• Breast cancer prevention and early detection programs
• Immunizations for infants and children
• Transportation for doctor’s office visits for disabled and elderly patients
• Nursing retention and training programs
• Patient care, comfort, safety and education

During the past two years, community leaders, physicians, patients and staff have stepped up to help raise $2.2 million to expand and enhance the Emergency Department and Trauma Services through a successful capital campaign.
